COVID-19 VIRTUAL MARATHON/CENTURY RIDE!
 
26.2 mile month long walk/run I 100 mile century bicycle ride
 
No one will forget the spring lockdown of 2020…when schools shut down, non-essential businesses closed their doors…and sporting events vanished.
 
In the wake of the quarantine, the Rotary Club of Hilliard created a first of its kind event. A month long virtual marathon.
 
Now in its second year, The City of Hilliard, and Rotary Club of Hilliard, have partnered on this annual event, commemorating those challenging days in 2020, and remembering the stress, and those lost to sickness. 
 
But more importantly, we remember how we came together to help each other and to appreciate life. 
 
VIRTUALLY ANYONE CAN COMPLETE A MARATHON...VIRTUALLY.
 
Hilliard’s second annual Covid-19 Virtual Marathon/Century Ride will take place the entire month of June, 2021. Anyone can participate, and you choose how, when and where you want to complete your 26.2 marathon miles or 100 mile century bicycle ride…the comfort of your home, your neighborhood, your gym, or even while on your family vacation...and celebrate together!
 
HELP SUPPORT PARTICIPATING LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS!
 
A portion of your registration fee will be directly donated to your choice of participating local organizations that are serving those in need in our community. (see below)
 
We believe that even as we continue fight Covid-19 as a community, we can still come together, virtually, to have fun, get healthy and give back.  Plus, saying you have completed a marathon/century ride is pretty cool too!  Don't miss out on this 2nd annual Virtual Marathon!
 
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
 
  • Sign up yourself, your family, and your friends by clicking the “register now” button at the bottom of the page.
  •  
  • Choose a local participating organization to receive a $10 donation from your registration fee.
  •  
  • Walk or run 26.2 miles (the choice is yours), or ride 100 miles, during the month of June.
  • When you have completed your biking, walking, or running miles, send an email to hilliardmarathon@hilliardrotaryclub.org. Please include pictures and videos of completing the marathon, so we can share them on social media this year, and used to promote next year's event.
  • AND…just for signing up, you will receive a commemorative shirt and medal.
  • These prizes will be available the first week of July. We will notify you to pick them up at the Hilliard Community Center, or for an additional $10 paid at registration, we will ship them directly to you.
 
Cost:
  • $60 per person
